There is a saying that goes, “bring the flowers before the funeral.” This is an old wise saying that reminds us to honor people before while living. We are so honored to be a part of an organization where our doctors are recognized for their hard work and dedication for premium health care that is embraced by the community. Dr. Shelley Dunson-Allen is being honored by the National Medical Fellowships (NMF) with the NMF Pioneer Award at our Atlanta Champions of Health Awards. This annual event is scheduled for October 4, 2017 and honors individuals who have made a lasting impact on healthcare and diversity in healthcare.
National Medical Fellowships is the only national organization solely dedicated to providing scholarships, awards, and service learning opportunities to medical and health professional students from groups underrepresented in the healthcare industry. Our mission is to increase the number of underrepresented minority physicians and other professionals in the healthcare workforce in order to improve access to quality healthcare in medically underserved communities. NMF seeks to increase the pipeline of physicians and health professionals who have the knowledge, cultural competency and commitment to provide quality healthcare for all members of our diverse society.
Help us give a hearty Congratulations to Dr. Shelley Dunson-Allen for being recognized as a leader in the medical industry and a top OBGYN in Atlanta. For more information on NMF, visit their website https://www.nmfonline.org/.
